Adam Mickiewicz University is one of the major Polish universities, located in the city of Poznań in western Poland. It was opened in 1919, with enrollment standing at 47,000. Its incubator, operated by Academic Business Incubators, hosts and helps students and graduates with novel business ideas in a streamlined environment trying to grow their business.

ABI is a network of 40 business incubators -- the biggest network in Europe -- and has contributed to the creation of over 4,000 new business activities, including now-market leaders in various segments of the Polish economy. Companies established thanks to ABI employ several thousand people and generate revenue of around $150 million.
