CEiA (Centro de Empresas e Innovación de Álava - Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center of Álava), located near Bilbao in northern Spain, has been providing services to help entrepreneurs and businesses promote entrepreneurial initiatives and foster development since 1988.
With 29,000 sq. ft. devoted to incubation, CEiA currently hosts startups like Independi.es, an ecommerce platform for the physically challenged, and unmanned aircraft manufacturer Albaero. CeiA also provides supporting services to 50 others. Its network helps startups to expand globally, with incubatee Eldersarea traveling to Silicon Valley after winning a content from the national Banesto Foundation.
CEiA is a joint venture between state and local governments.
